The first ordained female bishop in the country of Georgia and Eastern Europe, Bishop Rusudan is a champion of civil rights. She was awarded the 2014 International Women of Courage Award by Michelle Obama, as well as the Order of Honor, awarded by the President of Georgia in 2016.

A tireless advocate for peace and interfaith communion, Bishop Malkhaz has supported marginalized communities from Georgia and beyond throughout his decades-long career. As an internationally renowned scholar, the leader of the Peace Project, and the recipient of dozens of awards,  Bishop Malkhaz remains a global champion for peace and justice.

Bishop Ilia Osephashvili

With a master’s in Theology from Ilya State University, Bishop Ilia first entered the Evangelical Baptist Church of Georgia in 1989 after religion’s repression by the Soviet Union. Since then, he has fully devoted himself to the pursuit of interfaith dialogue and the spreading of God’s message.
