Shanah Tovah Umetukah
To Rabbi Golan Ben Chorin, Cantor Meredith Greenberg, the Peace Synagogue, the cherished leaders and congregation of D’or L’edor, and all our Jewish brothers and sisters around the world:
On this sacred threshold of a new year, the Peace Cathedral sends you blessings of light, renewal, and peace. Rosh Hashanah is a time when the shofar calls us to awaken — to remember, to return, and to begin again.
In these troubled days, when the world trembles with madness and division, we join our hearts with yours in lifting up a stubborn hope — the hope that peace will yet prevail over conflict, that justice will yet triumph over cruelty, that love will yet silence hatred. This is the hope of prophets and poets, the hope of generations past and yet to come.
May the coming year be inscribed with mercy and compassion. May your congregation be strengthened in faith, joy, and courage. And may we, together, continue the holy work of tikkun olam — healing what is broken and planting seeds of peace for all peoples.
With deep respect, abiding friendship, and fervent prayer for a sweet and peaceful new year,
